About

Hi, I'm Stacy — a CFO who'd rather help a real business owner than a boardroom.

I spent over a decade in corporate finance — including five years of full P&L ownership at a tech company — and somewhere along the way I realized I was really good at something that wasn't actually helping anyone I cared about. Large corporations don't need another sharp finance person. Independent business owners do.

So I launched The Optimal Margin to bring CFO-level financial strategy to small business owners in the East Valley — specifically independent auto repair shops — at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.

My Story

My connection to the auto industry isn't just professional — it's personal. I grew up around it through my dad's career, and I've been a car person my whole life. I currently drive a C7 Corvette and I have a genuine respect for what independent shop owners build. You're running a skilled trade business, managing people, navigating parts costs, and dealing with customers — all at once. The last thing you should also have to figure out is why your revenue looks good but your cash doesn't.

Credentials

I hold an MBA from Arizona State University and built my career in corporate finance in Chandler, where I developed deep expertise in revenue forecasting, P&L ownership, cash flow management, and pricing strategy. I'm a Gilbert native and I work exclusively with businesses in the East Valley — because local matters to me.
